Do you sell private registration numbers or personalised number plates?

Redline Reg Plates do not sell private registration numbers. We only make physical number plates, we don’t sell cherished or personalised number plates. You must own the registration number for which you are having plates made up.

Ordering Via the website

**Important** You can’t invent or make up a registration number and use it on UK roads. You or the person you’re buying for must already own the registration number you will use.

When you type your reg number on Redline Reg Plates’s website it will appear exactly as you type it so we kindly ask you to carefully check the spacing as we can offer no refunds or reprints due to typing/design errors on your behalf, a warning box automatically appears if you don’t add a space to your registration and you have to accept the warning to progress beyond this point.

There are two choices of designs of plates on the menus,

Legal Style = Includes all relevant markings

Show Plate = No design restrictions

Redline Reg Plates’s print process is on demand so when you buy the design and pay, your plates will automatically be printed by production and be sent for construction, at no point do production team know how you have requested the spacing of your plate and can’t check against the original order, they also have no access to alter or change your design etc, so we are in no way responsible for the spacing you entered.

Please carefully type your correct registration and correct spacing.

How do I cancel an order?

Redline Reg Plates print orders as soon as they’re placed, in some cases it may not be possible to issue a refund as the number plates have already been made. If you want to cancel the order, please contact us straight away (within the hour). In the event that the number plates have not been sent to production we will issue a full refund.

FITTING

Step 1 – Take off the old number plates and clean surfaces:

Redline Reg Plates's sticky pads are very strong when applied to a clean and dry surface. Remove the original plates from your vehicle and use surface cleaner to remove any residue, dirt or used sticky pads from your bumper. Ensure that the surface is clean and dry when fitting your new number plates, especially when using sticky pads.

Step 3 – Fit Using Sticky Pads

Using the sticky pads provided, evenly place on the back of the new number plate, remove the backing of the pads. Ensure that you are putting the number plate central to the bumper, then apply pressure across the plate. Once stuck, test the strength by pulling on the plate slightly, if the surface was clean and dry, you wont be able to move it.

At your own risk:  – Using screws

Using your old plates as a guide, place on top of new number plate and use these as a guide to show where to drill the correct placement of screw holes.

Once you have drilled the holes, line up to the screw through the new number plate and into the hole in the bumper. Screw until tight and secure.

Do you ship international/worldwide?

Sorry, No, not at this time.

Can I collect my plates?

Drop us a message if you need to collect your plates.

My order is late or missing – What should I do?

We aim always to process and dispatch orders the same day as placed (Only on weekdays) In rare instances there might be a delay from the postage service  which is out of our control, please contact relineregplates@gmail.com right away and we will provide you with tracking details.

Spacing of your registration number

You can space your plates exactly as you would like and it will be made as you see online, but to be UK road compliant you will need to add a space in the registration and in the correct location. Redline Reg Plates leave the choice up to you as you know your Registration Number better than us! Check your V5 Document for correct legal spacing.

Choose Legal style on the website to include automatic spacing and all the relevant markings on your plates.

Do you drill number plate holes before sending?

No, we do not a pre drilling service as the holes on your existing plates can range from vehicle to vehicle.

What are the Legally required details on the slogan?

The legal details are a legal requirement for all number plates in the UK, and display the makers name, postcode and the British Standard. For this reason the legal details are a default option on LEGAL STYLE, but you can deselect the Legal Details and nothing will be printed to your number plates if so required by choosing SHOW PLATE, This also gives you the option to add your own slogan onto the SHOW PLATES, As always Show Plates are used at your own risk on UK roads, The legal details are printed in small text at the bottom & right hand corner in the smallest black font size available.

Spacing of registration number?

For the correct format you should only add one space to your registration. The space should be in the correct location, please refer you your V5 log book and existing number plates, When you choose LEGAL STYLE the builder will automatically space your registration in the correct Legal format, If you are still unsure please contact us for more information.

If you choose SHOW PLATE you are free to space your registration how you wish, But SHOW PLATES do NOT include BS number and Legal details.

Are your Numberplates British Standard compliant?

All of the materials of our plates meet the British Standard BSAU145e and fully reflective.

What is the difference between Legal Style plates and Show Plates?

All materials used are the same.

Legal style plates include all the legal markings including Manufacturer’s name and postcode and British standard number on the bottom-line, and they will be spaced as shown on your V5 or V750 certificate shows and in line with DVLA and police requirements.

Show plates don’t include legal details and are for show off road use only, but allow for a more design-oriented look and layout i.e., different non legal spacing, and are used at your own risk on UK roads.
